What is a U-Bolt?
A U-bolt is shaped like the letter "U". It wraps around the axle tube and passes through the spring plate, securing the axle to the leaf spring assembly.

When to Replace U-Bolts

What is a Center Bolt?
A center bolt runs through the center of the leaf spring pack, holding all the leaves together and aligning them. The head sits in a locating hole on the axle pad, ensuring the spring stays in the correct position.
When to Replace Center Bolts
- Whenever you disassemble a leaf spring pack
- If the head is worn or deformed
- If the bolt is bent (common after off-road use)
- If the threads are damaged

How to Measure
